WELCOME TO
Growing Edge Counselling
At Growing Edge Counselling, I believe that the quality of our relationships affects the quality of our lives. While we may carry past experiences and inherit patterns, we have the power to change our responses and focus on what we can control in the present. If you’re feeling stuck and want to explore this, I’m here to help.
About Me
My name is Brittney Singh, and I am a Registered Social Worker with a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Manitoba. I have been dedicated to supporting individuals in the areas of family violence and trauma since 2013. My experience includes ten years of providing individual counselling and facilitating groups at NorWest Co-op Community Health, as well as one year with Positive Perspectives Group Practice. In June 2024, I began my own private practice.
I love helping individuals achieve their counselling goals and witnessing their progress. Building a trusting relationship is central to my work, and I am committed to offering a safe space where clients feel heard, seen, and understood. I work with teens (16+) and adults, particularly those new to therapy, to explore life transitions, relationships, and self-awareness.
My Approach
As a Registered Social Worker, I use an anti-oppressive, culturally safe, and person-centered approach, focusing on creating a sense of safety and connection. I often draw on Internal Family Systems (IFS) theory to guide healing, and I emphasize the mind-body connection in my practice.
I incorporate trauma-informed techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBTm), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Body-Oriented Trauma Therapy, and Polyvagal Theory. I also consider how our broader systems and environments impact our experiences.
I offer in-person, phone, and video sessions, available during the daytime, evenings, and weekends. Feel free to contact me for a free consultation.
